Current Volunteer Opportunities:
(1) CHOICES General Support Volunteers:
When you sign up for shifts at CHOICES during regular hours, we will give you a few options and put you where we need you the most. This might be filing (both payables and charts), entering data from patient charts and records into the computerized data management system, assisting with end of week filing on Fridays, pulling patient charts for the week on Monday mornings, and other general clerical and administrative tasks as needed. Sometimes, special projects will come up and assignments will vary based on need. This could also be preparation for and/or during upcoming community events, including but not limited to: health fairs, sex education seminars, community awareness events, and peaceful rallies. General Support volunteers will sign up for weekly shifts based on their interests and availability, and specific assignments will be determined based on this schedule. Average weekly time commitment: 0-5 hours
(2) Feminist Gardeners:
CHOICES’ Feminist Gardeners help us keep our costs low and our clinic beautiful and welcoming for all our patients and visitors. Keep our parking lot and building flower beds in shape by stopping by once or twice a week to pull some weeds, water the flowers, and do other basic garden maintenance.
Average Weekly Time Commitment: 0-3 hours per week

The Application Process
After you submit a volunteer application, a member of our Community Partnerships team will reach out to you via email with information about signing up for an orientation session.
All volunteers are required to attend an initial orientation session (approximately 1 hour) where you will learn more about your new role at CHOICES, get to know a few new friends, and get ready to begin your rewarding and exciting journey with us. You are required to bring a valid photo ID, a copy of your current resume, and a current vaccination record (if you would like to volunteer in the clinical area in any capacity) with you to orientation. Group orientation sessions are held during the first two weeks of each month. You may also choose to schedule a one-on-one orientation session if you are unable to attend a group session.
CHOICES also requires background checks for volunteers to ensure the safety of all patients, staff, and volunteers at our clinic.
